“Prevailing medical and psychological paradigms around the threshold event of pregnancy focus exclusively on the mother. Either by omission or exclusion, the father or significant other is never mentioned. Where’s Papa? A wholistic account of the partner, who shares the genetic and epigenetic space, who has corresponding difficulties to the mother, is imperative.”
