Disco, Occasionally, which serves as a sequel to his critically acclaimed 2022 release, Harry's House, the latter having won the prestigious Grammy for Album Of The Year in 2023.
But here's where it gets intriguing—Styles will drop the lead single from this new album, "Aperture," just hours after making his residency announcement. Instead of embarking on a traditional tour following the success of Harry's House, he opted for a unique approach by hosting extended stays at arenas across major cities. This strategy includes impressive 10-show runs in both New York and Los Angeles, and now he's taken it up a notch with this monumental 30-show stint at Madison Square Garden.
Scheduled for August, September, and October, these performances will take place on non-consecutive Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The residency kicks off just before the Labor Day weekend and concludes on Halloween, creating a thrilling seasonal atmosphere for attendees. Jamie xx, known for his innovative music style, will be the opening act for all these shows, adding another layer of excitement to the event.
In addition to this extensive MSG residency, Styles will also perform shorter residencies in various cities worldwide, featuring an eclectic lineup of supporting acts. Fans can look forward to Robyn in Amsterdam, Shania Twain in London, Fcukers in São Paulo, Jorja Smith in Mexico City, Fousheé in Melbourne, and Skye Newman in Sydney. However, it's important to note that these Madison Square Garden performances will mark his only U.S. appearances for this year.
