She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany Addresses MCU Rumors: 'I Turned Them Down'
She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslany has hilariously responded to rumors claiming she turned down future MCU appearances. Maslany plays Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk in Marvel Television's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law. There's been no official announcement about a second season, and it's unclear where She-Hulk will appear next in the MCU. However, online rumors have been circulating.
MyTimeToShineHello, a scooper, claimed, 'Marvel Studios wanted to use She-Hulk in Avengers Secret Wars, but Tatiana Maslany has no interest in working for Disney. If they can't convince her to return, they might remove the character or recast the role.' The Beyond Reporter also stated, 'It seems Tatiana Maslany no longer works for Marvel.'
In response, Maslany addressed the matter on the Comedy Comedy Bang Bang podcast, saying, 'Disney approached me to play She-Hulk again. I said no. I was really mad at them for letting me sue them. I was just mad, in general. Woke feminist stuff... I was like, 'How dare you cast a woman in this role [of She-Hulk]? That's disgusting. I'm embarrassed to even be here.'
Maslany's comments were sarcastic, mocking rumors that seem unfounded. She made similar remarks when rumors claimed she was fired from Deadpool & Wolverine, leading to a lawsuit. These rumors appear to be without factual basis.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is streaming on Disney+.
